A Voice for Fair Democracy in the House of Lords!

It's not often you hear democracy and House of Lords in the same sentence. I was fortunate enough to be invited to the House of Lords on 4th December to speak about diversity and represent the British Humanist Association. A number of organisations were there in support, including 50:50 parliament who campaign for gender representation in the House of Commons. I believe that the only way for us to achieve a diverse parliament is through proportional representation. https://youtu.be/Oh0v6wCCqqU At the general election, UKIP got 1 MP with 13% of the vote whilst the Conservatives got 330 MPs with 37% of the vote.
