Thawe to Delhi: We Need Daily Railway Connectivity – Not Just Summer Specials!
The Issue

Subject: Start a Daily Train from Thawe Junction (Gopalganj, Bihar) to New Delhi – Urgent Need for Railway Connectivity
We, the citizens of Gopalganj district and surrounding areas in Bihar, urgently appeal to the Ministry of Railways and the North Eastern Railway Zone to provide a permanent, daily train service from Thawe Junction to New Delhi.
At present, there is no daily train connecting Thawe or even the entire Gopalganj district directly to the national capital. The only train available (05114) is a seasonal special that runs once a week, and that too only during summer. This lack of connectivity is causing immense hardship for lakhs of residents who need to travel to Delhi for:
Jobs and employment
Competitive exams and higher education
Specialized medical treatment
Religious and family purposes
We are forced to travel 60–120 km to crowded stations like Chhapra, Siwan, or Gorakhpur, spending extra time and money just to reach a train.
Gopalganj district has a population of over 25 lakh people, many of whom depend on Delhi for livelihood, education, and medical care. Yet, the railway continues to ignore our needs despite available tracks, an operational junction at Thawe, and growing public pressure.
This is not just a demand – this is a basic right for connectivity and mobility.
📌 We request:
1. Start a daily express or superfast train from Thawe Junction to New Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal or NDLS).
2. Convert seasonal train 05114 into a permanent daily service with full-year operation.
3. Upgrade Thawe Junction’s infrastructure to handle regular long-distance trains.
