The due date for the AAP (Alternative Approval Process) rejection forms in regard to the Saanich Operations Centre Redevelopment is Wednesday June 25, 2025.

They can be found at SaveourSaanich.com

More directly the AAP rejection form can be attained by clicking this link: Microsoft Word - Elector Response Form - Bylaw 10105.docx

Please note the eligibility requirements for electors which is on page 2 of the document.

Also please note that Saanich does not accept digital signatures. They reject AAP rejection forms with digital signatures.

A Times Colonist article was published online today titled: "Saanich group confident of scuttling district borrowing plans"

"Under the alternative approval process, if more than 10 per cent of eligible electors — 8,735 residents — submit an elector response form opposing the initiative, the loan authorization bylaw cannot be adopted."

It is essential for democracy that the public be provided a referendum on this crucial issue regarding the Saanich Operations Centre Redevelopment by Quadra, McKenzie and Borden.  To receive a referendum 10% of eligible electors in the District must fill out this form rejecting the AAP.

Not only is many millions of dollars at stake which will lead to significantly increased taxes and utilities long-term if the plan goes ahead, but also if the plan goes forward with or without public consent, the much valued garden waste drop off at that location will be lost according to the current plans.
