Thank you for your amazing support over the last few days. Our signatories have risen from 1,300 to 1,700 and we have now got a meeting booked to meet with Thames Water senior managers on Sep 30th.
One thing that I didn't realise was that early in the campaign the great Feargal Sharkey (which my auto-correct wants to to change to Fearful Starkey!) tweeted out the petition getting us lots of signatures. Big thanks to Fearful for his support and all he's doing!
Back to the meeting with Thames Water, it's to be held at the local sewage plant in Kingston Borough and then we will go on to see the upstream problems at Epsom & Ewell - faulty sensors and 60 year old too small sewage tanks.
No wonder there are massive problems when the sewage tanks are not to have been upgraded for 60 years despite the population exploding during that time.
I'm not sure if holding the meeting at a sewage plant is punishment for me but I'm game and going to take it on.
Thanks again.
WE WILL WIN THIS!
Mark.
