TGI Fridays: Stop Abusing Chickens

The Issue

TGI Fridays serves up cruelty every day of the week.

Chickens raised for TGI Fridays endure terrible suffering and it needs to stop. Right after hatching, these baby chickens face horrible conditions. They are crammed by the thousands into filthy, windowless sheds. They are bred to grow at unnaturally fast rates, causing pain and debilitating injuries. They are less than 2 months old when they are hung by their feet in shackles, electrocuted, and slit at the throat while fully conscious.

TGI Fridays has over 930 restaurants in 60+ countries. Without a comprehensive animal welfare policy for these chickens, TGI Fridays is contributing to immense suffering for millions of animals. Several major food restaurants including Starbucks, Panera, and Noodles & Company have committed to comprehensive chicken welfare policies, yet TGI Fridays refuses to address cruelty in its supply line.

Unless TGI Fridays makes serious changes, we all need to join the growing movement of consumers boycotting restaurants like Fridays.

Please sign our petition urging TGI Fridays to develop a welfare policy for the chickens suffering in its supply chain. It’s time for TGI Fridays to release a policy to provide birds with more space and a clean, naturally lit environment, shift away from fast-growing breeds of birds, and eliminate live-shackle slaughter methods.
