Texas state officials and the Texas Education Agency want schools to re-open in spite of huge numbers of new COVID-19 infections in Texas.   This petition asks that all state officials from the Governor on down to department heads, spend at least one day a week in a classroom to be selected by teachers in each district, the district to be randomly drawn for each official.   They would have no more protective equipment than was given to every teacher in that district.

If it's safe enough for our children, parents, and teachers, it's safe enough for the Governor, legislators, and other public officials.
