Texas veterinarian Kristen Lindsey recently posted a photo of a cat she shot through the head with an arrow to her facebook page with the caption, "My first bow kill. Lol. The only good feral tomcat is a tomcat with arrow through an it's head . Vet of the Year award ... gladly accepted. "  

Lindsey had the means to either trap and neuter or humanely euthanize this cat if she believed it was a nuisance. Instead, she chose to use it for target practice and brag about it on Facebook.

The Houston Chronicle reports a representative with True Blue Animal Rescue in Brenham, Texas, says the cat was in fact, not feral, but a foster cat, owned by the group.

Dr. Kristen Lindsey, DVM, with the Washington Animal Clinic in Brenham, Tex., Has Been fired, her Facebook and Twitter pages are down, and police are Investigating.

Her complete disregard for the pet's suffering warrants her expulsion from the practice of veterinary medicine. She should never be permitted to practice in Texas again, or in any other state, for that matter.  

We are asking that the Texas State Veterinary Examining Board permanently revoke Kristen Lindsey's license.
