Today the Governor of Texas signed State Representative Rhetta Bowers' HB 567 - The CROWN Act into law. The CROWN Act will now go into law officially on September 1, 2023 in Texas.

Thank you to everyone who signed the petition and worked to get the Texas CROWN Act passed into law. Special thanks to State Representatives Rhetta Andrews Bowers, Texas State Board of Education Member Aicha Davis, Emmy Award Winning Journalist Tashara Parker and all the other activists across Texas who worked for over 4 years to get this passed into law.
