We hereby Petition for the Release of Alan R. Carter Jr. 

For the past 17 years, Alan Carter has been confined to a Texas Prison for a crime he was accused of at 16 years of age. He led a troublesome life as a teen, and unfortunately that lifestyle caused him to lose nearly two decades of his life. However, in that time, Alan Carter has been extremely productive. He has earned 3 college degrees, received training in various trades, and recently published his first book entitled, "You are Gods." In addition, he has positively influenced other men who are incarcerated through education, and drug and gang intervention.

A father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. All of these roles, and he has not had the chance to play them. We, citizens of America, Petition for the Release of Alan R. Carter Jr. so he can have a second chance at life. Despite his circumstances, Alan Carter has accomplished many things, imagine what he will achieve when he is released from prison.

We conclude our Petition for the Release of Alan R. Carter Jr. requesting freedom for the 35 year old man, not the 16 year old boy.
