Final Phase of PUC Docket 58682 — Public Comments Needed Immediately

We are entering the final stage of PUC Docket 58682 — and your voice still matters.
Texas Water Utilities (TWU) is attempting to lock in an Interim System Improvement Charge (SIC) that many communities never benefited from. The SOAH Administrative Law Judges will soon issue their Proposed Decision, and the Commissioners will vote after that.
This is our last window to influence the outcome.
Intervenor Representatives Tyler Croft and Anna Miller have been working nonstop through hearings, filings, and briefs to protect ratepayers. But the Commission needs to hear directly from you — the customers who are living with the consequences of TWU’s actions.
⭐ What you can do right now
Submit a public comment to the PUC telling them:
The Interim Rate is not just and reasonable
The charge is not in the public interest
Communities should not pay for improvements they did not receive
The Commission must set the Interim Rate at $0 or a significantly lower amount
Every comment becomes part of the official record. Every comment is read. Every comment matters.
⭐ Why this matters
The Commission will rely heavily on public input when deciding whether TWU’s proposed charges are fair. Your comment can help prevent unjustified increases and protect thousands of families across Texas.
⭐ We are asking every commenter, every Intervenor, and every affected customer to act now.
Please share this call to action on your neighborhood pages, HOA groups, Facebook communities, and local forums. We must reach everyone who previously commented — and everyone who hasn’t yet.
Your voice can change the outcome.
Your comment can protect your community.
Your action today can stop an unfair rate tomorrow.
