Sadly i write weeks after we all signed this petition with news that care staff and the people they support are still not being tested! It is outrageous that footballers, cricketers and other sports stars are being tested on a regular basis but those working within industries looking after the most vulnerable in society are not! 

Matt Hancock stated that all elderly care homes would be tested on a regular basis, however they have been met with numerous challenges including tests not being delivered, tests not being collected and tests being re-called due to health and safety concerns leaving social care staff in limbo! Those working in learning disability services are still unable to access testing at all unless they drive to a centre although a large number of those working in the sector are unable to drive and access these. 

I am asking you to tweet Matt Hancock to let him know how you feel about how his statement has let those working in social care down. I will personally be tweeting: @MattHancock you stated care home staff would be tested regularly although elderly services face numerous hurdles and those working in LD services are not able to access tests still... You need to sort this out! We need a system that works and tests all care staff and residents 

Lets keep pushing forward and get those on the front line the tests they deserve!
