This week has been brilliant for the Changing Places campaign. First Sarah Brisdion's #LooAdvent toilet selfies were shown on The Last Leg on Friday night and they briefly discussed the campaign (watch here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYbyRgz3rhk&feature=youtu.be) AND they even did their own toilet selfie! Today gold medal winning paralympic athlete & British sportswoman of the year, Hannah Cockroft has done her own loo selfie which has been shared on Twitter too. Other celebs who have been retweeting and helping raise awareness include Jeremy Vine, Nick Knowles, Minnie Driver, Sally Phillips, Matt Le Tissier and many more! It is amazing to see celebrities getting involved and supporting the campaign to help make changes. I think they're pretty shocked that we are still battling with this 12 years after the campaign started to be honest! However, the supermarkets are still not budging! Their responses are actually getting worse! Tesco are insisting that with 3 changing places toilets across the UK they are leading the way for supermarkets! Which seems strange when Asda have 4 and 1 on the way! But even that isn't enough as the closest supermarket with a changing places toilet to me is still over an hour away! M&S refused my 2nd formal request for reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010 this week, and their response was really poor. It simply said... "We understand that you previously raised this complaint with us in 2016 and our Legal Team responded to you in full by letter dated 2 June 2016. Our position remains the same as set out in that letter." Waitrose's response to another campaigner was as bad, if not worse and you can read that here https://twitter.com/MumsMissions/status/938324187235667968 Sainsbury's have said that their one facility is a trial and until they have feedback they won't be rolling them out across their stores. This petition isn't considered feedback! Asda & Morrison's haven't said anything!
