Some shops no longer accept cash (Marks & Spencer Twickenham), others too, or that you be on video as you shop (Asda Isleworth), others simply minimising the number of check-outs that are staffed by a customer-service-till worker. The march towards mechanisation is extraordinary and relentless. You have told me about the stores near you or that you used to do your shopping in because of the move to self-service tills - they are literally is all over the country.

You are finding that the proliferation of self-service-tills quite alarming. Many of you have taken to boycotting the tills that require you, the shopper to use a debit or credit card and pack your goods yourself.  I have heard from hundreds of you, many of you now refuse to shop where self-service have replaced staffed tills. 

The question now is - how do we move this issue up the agenda so that shops take notice?
