Dear Friend
I want to stop the Profits Before People policy as it seems to operate in Tesco's - replacing people by machines.
Its not that Tesco's in Osterley have got rid of staff, they's simply redeployed them to other tasks and on varied hours.
Well there's too many self-service-card-only-tills in Tesco's Osterley and most likely other stores too - not only Tesco.
Eventually there'll be an App only shopping system - that really is a step to far. No App - No Food?
These new SSCOT's seem to discriminate against older people, those with disabilities and those who can only use cash. It's got to change and we want our staff back on staffed tills - we don't want to get rid of SSCOT's - just want an equitable distribution of new SSCOT's and staff - so some of the new tills have got to go - not all of them, but some of them. Let's get our staff back!.
We've heard of people being told to shop in 'quiet times' to alleviate the issues of long-queues and a lengthy time to wait - that's not customer service - that's customer dis-service.
Its time for a change - and so many of you agree.
More signatures please - we're waiting for a reply to a letter to Ken Murphy Chief Executive of Tesco's sent recently by Ruth Cadbury MP for Brentford & Isleworth - let's see what beacons of light he'll throw on the issues we're petitioning about. No beacons of light - and no change, then we might have to find other ways of getting our points across.
Thank you for signing. Will keep you in touch.
