Tesco agrees to listen !!!
Good Morning, and a big thank you to all of you!!Tesco has finally agreed that it will consider our voices. On a day of rapid developments, local councillors issued an appeal to Tesco to reconsider its parking rules through a Leeds City Council press release and in another our local MP Mr Richard Burgon wrote an open letter to the CEO of Tesco, asking him to cancel the fines imposed on people for using the car park, and to allow it to be used for accessing local services. A Yorkshire Evening Post report finally mentioned that Tesco will allow users of the car park to leave the car park for 30 minutes to access other services around the shopping parade, a so called 'grace period '. We still think it should be moved up a bit further , considering old people/disabled taking time to walk from the car park to other buildings. Tesco must show its humane face to its loyal customers. The damage to its reputation has already been made by letting loose an aggressive car parking management company on unsuspecting users of the car park., now it should heal those wounds, by being kind and considerate. We shall still keep open this petition as long as we dont achieve our goal of fair and considerate treatment for all from Tesco. Negotiations between Tesco and the Leeds City Council are continuing.
