Firstly, happy 2019 to you all- I really do hope you’re all having another wonderful year!
I’m so excited to share with you some updates on the campaign…

As I have always said, animal welfare and conservation is an issue that we cannot deny as being a major modern day problem and I wholeheartedly believe that one of our most powerful ways to tackle this is through education and awareness. This truly is something that I will always fight for!

I’m absolutely delighted to announce that I have joined IAPWA (International Fund for the Protection & Welfare of Animals) as an ambassador. IAPWA is an incredible organisation who tackle all kinds of global issues from the dog meat trade to the canned hunting of lions and poaching of rhinos and elephants. Though these issues may not always be happening on our doorsteps, this doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be doing everything we can to improve the lives of animals and encourage people everywhere to change their perception of these wonderful creatures and make changes which may save these animals from their often tragic fates.

These are issues that I know are incredibly meaningful to so many of you, and you too can become a part of the movement to improve global animal welfare. On 23rd February 2019, IAPWA are hosting an “Art for Wildlife” event at the Royal Geographical Society in London. Tickets are available to the public and the night will be packed with fantastic speakers, films and so many people who dedicate their lives to making a real difference! Also, I’m very happy to say that I’ll be speaking at the presentation too. I would absolutely love for as many people to be there as possible- not only as it will be an amazing evening, but also to raise vital funds for the GRI elephant orphanage project, ARCC “Saving the Rhino” in South Africa and the hugely important “Claws Out” campaign.

Tickets are available here: https://www.facebook.com/events/266245327555661/

I will always be so thankful for your continued support and would love for you be up to date with any progress…my twitter handle is @LucyGavaghan and my instagram is lucygavaghan

There’ll be lots of exciting news soon around various issues (including some big steps forward in the campaign to see better living conditions for the UK’s commercial laying hens!).

Much love and I hope 2019 continues to bring you all the best,

Lucy x
