THANK YOU once again for the incredible support the petition has had. I am continually amazed at the coverage and support the campaign has been given by the media. Yesterday, the Mirror published an article about the petition in their newspaper and online

To date, the petition has been featured in The Star, The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, the Sheffield telegraph, Farmers Weekly, various popular Twitter and Facebook pages and the BHWT (British Hen Welfare Trust) Chicken and Egg magazine. Also BBC radio 4 and radio Sheffield have featured the petition . This coverage goes some way to demonstrate the scale of the issue and the opposition to these cruely produced eggs. As I explained in my last update, I had secured a meeting with Tesco this Friday to discuss the eggs they sell and the petition at its current stage. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances I will be unable to attend the meeting tomorrow. However, Tesco are still keen to meet and we are going to rearrange the meeting as soon as possible. I am really looking forward to the meeting and the opportunity it represents to make a difference to so many laying hens and to create a real impact on Tesco. Let's hope that with this continued momentum we can really make Tesco listen. Please continue to share the petition with as many potential supporters as possible.
Thank you again to all supporters, old and new!
Lucy
