PETITION: STOP FUNDING PLANNED PARENTHOOD IN IOWA

Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Nucatola nonchalantly eats her dinner and drinks her wine as she talks about dismembering precious babies. She crunches her salad while talking about “crunching” the babies, in ways to kill and extract them while protecting the valuable organs (heart, liver, lungs and legs) for resale (a felony in itself).

 

Why do we allow this type of industry in our state? Why did our elected officials, mere weeks ago, use our money to fund their heinous practices?

 

On June 3, 2015, the Iowa House and Senate (House vote: https://www.legis.iowa.gov/docs/pubs/hjweb/pdf/June%2003,%202015.pdf#page=7 Senate vote: https://www.legis.iowa.gov/docs/pubs/sjweb/pdf/June%2003,%202015.pdf#page=12)  passed SF505 HHS, which included funding for Planned Parenthood in the state. Governor Terry Branstad approved the bill on July 2, so Iowa's money continues to support an industry that kills our youngest Iowans AND sells their bodies, piece by piece.

 

We call on Iowa's Governor Terry Branstad to keep his campaign promise to defund Planned Parenthood (https://youtu.be/X5yYF_pV4ic). We expect every legislator who voted to fund Planned Parenthood to call for an immediate investigation into the organization's practices. We call on Iowa's churches to rise up for justice, to rescue those being led away to slaughter, and to practically empower Iowans to choose life and care for the living. We cannot deny this evil. We certainly cannot fund it. The time has come to end it.

 

Every person deserves equal protection under the law. Yet, our most vulnerable citizens are being targeted for execution and their bodies sold like objects. We petition our elected employees to stop these crimes and amend our state's law to protect every Iowan's inalienable right to life.
