Students have lost their identity, individualism, and self-expression through the strict dress code rules at schools across the parish. Teenagers in particular are famous for needing to express their emotions and their tastes in music, fashion and art through clothing, hair and piercings. Some students don't feel they look good in the required uniforms, leading to feeling of insecurity and self-consciousness. With the withdrawal of school uniforms, students will then be generally happier around campus and have better attitudes about school in general. Being a school student that has to wear a uniform everyday, I know for a fact that I would be generally more ecstatic going to school everyday knowing that I can wear what I want.
