HELLO, SANCTUARY SUPPORTERS!

Thank you all so much for signing and sharing. Sharing is caring! Good news: people all over the country and world are hearing us. We are making a difference in people's lives by standing up for those with no voice. Yesterday, federal Judge, James Robart of WA, issued a restraining order stopping Trump's Executive Order which banned citizens of 7 Muslim-majority countries. In Florida it may be winter, but the heat is cranking up. It looks like Miami-Dade may be caving to federal pressure and will revoke their sanctuary county status. I pray this doesn't happen. Last February, the Florida House of Representatives passed a bill to ban 'sanctuary cities,' requiring local law enforcement to detail illegal immigrants for the federal government, which the federal courts say violates the 10th amendment of the U.S. Constitution. That's right! It's unconstitutional and it passed our FL House of Reps with the support of 80 Republicans. This bill later died in the senate (under judiciary review). SCORE ONE FOR JUDICIARY! If you're taking notes, Rep. Rene Plasencia, of Orlando, was the only Republican in our FL house to break ranks and side with the Democrats on this. Good on you, Rep. Plasencia!
