200 signatures

Good morning 

Well done all and thank you for your signatures. We are at 200 now, which in itself is actually not bad at all, so we should all be pleased about that. 

Just a quick update. I made contact recently with the RTLC Secretary and the DEFA Minister. Here is a short cut and paste from my correspondence. 

"Having read the article, I remain unclear as to the scope of the proposed review, what aspects of the current licensing system will be examined, and the extent to which the trade has been, or will be, consulted.

I was particularly interested to note that the article made no reference to whether consideration is being given to a temporary pause on new PPV driver licence applications while the review is undertaken. Equally, I saw no reference to how work permit requirements, where applicable, form part of either the current licensing process or the proposed review.". 

I have received a response only to say that an update on the current position/situation will be given soon.  Suffice also to say that both the RTLC and DEFA (as the sponsoring department) are now aware of the petition.
