Grass field at the new RFK Stadium! The Washington Commanders and its fan base have always been gritty.  And when fake turf became en vogue, the Redskins said no. And when the crappy current stadium (FedEx Field / Northwest Stadium) in Landover, Maryland was built, the only thing previous Redskins/Commanders owner Jack Kent Cooke did right was to prescribe a grass field.

The new dome and plans for a new RFK stadium look great.  But the domed design has true Redskins/Commanders fans fearing a fake turf playing surface.  The clear glass design though encourages one to think natural grass could thrive as if it were a greenhouse! 

Fake turf is for fake cities like LA!  Or for lesser franchises like the Cowboys & Giants!  Or for uninhabitably cold places like New England!  Josh Harris is cool and a legit old school Redskins/Commanders fan.

Hoping that enough people can sign this petition to show Mr. Harris and DC government how important a grass field is!     The team has indicated they want grass. But it will become a budget issue and DC government will haggle with the Commanders. Marion Barry made the Nats Park parking garage above ground. Don’t let DC govt choose fake turf!
