Tell Ubisoft to #ReviveWatchDogsLegion!
The Issue
In January 2022; Ubisoft Toronto made the unfortunate decision to shelve support for 2020s Watch Dogs: Legion. A game, while not like the other two predecessors (Which were different in their own rights), WAS and IS STILL a very AMBITIOUS take on stepping in the shoes of a Hacker/Vigilante; But this time around, Anyone in London was capable of being the Hero of the story and take part in the Resistance against Nigel Cass’ Albion and the Mystery behind who set up Londons Dedsec Branch, via the mysterious Faction known as Zero Day; Thanks to the Play As Anyone Feature.
Watch Dogs Legion started off rough for the first few months, even after the long awaited release of its Online Mode. But between March-September 2021, came a MASSIVE AMOUNT OF QoL Updates/and DLCs; Alongside the return of Narrative storytelling from Legacy Characters, Aiden Pearce and The Wrench, in Watch Dogs: Legion - BLOODLINE.
After Bloodline, August 2021 brought in the FINAL Content Update.
The Assassins Creed x Watch Dogs Legion Crossover Event introduced the final Season Pass Operative, Darcy Jackson. The Update Introduced a Free Story Arc for players to try Darcy out before buying her (If they didnt), the return of Fan Favorite mode Invasion and more.
After what would be the FINAL Title Update for Watch Dogs: Legion, the announcement of that being the case, came in Janurary 2022, in the midst of the #SaveRedDeadOnline controversy, alongside the first attempt of saving WDL with the smaller #SaveWatchDogsLegion movement.
Watch Dogs Legion developers, Ubisoft Toronto left the game in a somewhat Buggy state with things such as SAVE FAILS, GRAPHICAL ERRORS, AI BUGS, and A PLETHORA OF ISSUES IN THE ONLINE MODE.
The Online Mode is more unstable than the story, and thats not a good way to leave a game thats no longer supported.
Also we were promised the Inclusion of NEW GAME PLUS, NEW ONLINE EVENTS, and FREE OPERATIVES (The Bouncer and Drone Killers and more).
None of this has come to the light, ontop of a bunch of other cut content that was originally planned to be put in the game, and Watch Dogs Legion is literally perfectly structured to have an amazing Online Mode and should be given another shot at Life, either by Ubisoft Toronto or have the game Outsourced and given to another Branch at Ubisoft like the original developers, Ubisoft Montreal, etc.
If you agree that Legion wasn't given the same love as a game that came out around the same time ASSASSINS CREED VALHALLA (which is almost in Year 2.5) and Far Cry 6, (which has been given better Marketing and Love by Legion Developers Ubisoft Toronto than WDL itself) then please consider signing this petition to hopefully get the attention of Ubisoft and make them reconsider their actions from earlier this year.
Theres a possibility this can work, as The Division 2 was originally set to end production in 2019, with Repeating Seasons (Just like WDLs current State) but made a Revival in 2021, with continued support into 2023 and beyond!
