Mercy For Animals
Nov 25, 2015
In recent weeks, Tyson has been under fire not only for abusing animals, but also for subjecting poultry workers to terrible conditions (http://bit.ly/OxfamReport). So when Tyson’s lawyers went to the U.S. Supreme Court to challenge worker complaints, they were confronted by protesters wielding signs bearing the phrase “Tyson: Cheating Workers, Torturing Animals” (http://bit.ly/TysonSCOTUS). Photos of this powerful Mercy For Animals demonstration were published in outlets from Forbes to The New York Times, sending Tyson—and Tyson shareholders—a clear message that exploiting workers and animals is bad business. So is making false claims. Just WATCH what Tyson executives say about how they treat chickens versus the reality we’ve uncovered in our three Tyson investigations: http://bit.ly/TruthAboutTyson. But we’re taking Tyson to task. Following multiple Tyson undercover investigations, several workers and farm owners have been charged and convicted of animal cruelty and a Tyson supplier to McDonald’s has been shut down. We’ll keep campaigning until Tyson implements meaningful animal welfare changes that spare birds from needless cruelty and violence. Join us by taking these actions now: • Watch and share our Tyson investigations: http://TysonTorturesAnimals.com • Comment under Tyson’s most recent Facebook post: https://facebook.com/TysonFoods • Tweet @Tyson: http://bit.ly/TysonTorturesChickens Of course, the most important action you can take to spare birds and other farmed animals a lifetime of pain is to cut out or cut back on meat, milk, and eggs.
