Обновление к петицииTyson: Stop Starving BirdsTODAY: JOIN OUR NATIONWIDE CALL-IN! Urge Peco Foods to Give “Nose Bones” the Boot

Make a quick, polite call TODAY using our sample message below to urge Peco Foods to give cruel “nose bones” the boot! Because today’s broiler birds are bred to grow so unnaturally large, so quickly, that many can no longer walk by two months old, these “nose bones” were once widely used to restrict male “breeder” birds’ food intake so that they would live long enough to breed. But more than half of the top 20 chicken producers in the US have now confirmed to COK that they’re ending or are not using this barbaric practice. And thanks to you, it’s our understanding that last month, Mountaire Farms received thousands of calls expressing concern during our nationwide call-in and, in response, stated on its Facebook page that it doesn’t use “nose bones” (note: the statement has since been removed, and we’re working to confirm more details). However, #8 producer, Peco Foods, still remains silent. It’s time for Peco to issue a public statement so consumers know exactly where the company stands on cruel “nose bones.” Please make a quick call to 205-345-4711 today with a polite message like this: “Hi, my name is _____ and I’m calling as a concerned consumer to ask whether Peco Foods is still using outdated, cruel “nose bones” in its broiler breeders. More than half of the top 20 producers, including Tyson, Perdue, and Pilgrim’s, have already confirmed to Compassion Over Killing that they are phasing out or do not use this barbaric device. Will Peco join them and issue a public statement?” Don’t forget to email info@cok.net with any response you get from the company, and please share this link on social media after you call: http://bit.ly/PecoFoodscallin
