Request sent to WFP for Response

Many thanks to the hundreds of people that have so far signed this petition calling on WFP to drop Palantir. Please continue to share widely and help maintain visibility on this topic.

We have written to Carl Skau, WFP´s Acting Executive Director, requesting WFP´s response to the following questions. If a response is received it will be shared here. 

1. Please confirm the status of WFP´s contract with Palantir and / or its anticipated renewal date.
2. Why has WFP decided to renew its contract with Palantir despite "high priority" concerns raised in a 2025 partnership audit (As reported by France24 and PassBlue on the 7th of August 2026)? What further due diligence has WFP undertaken leading to the decision to renew? What were the official conclusions and findings?
3. What is WFP´s Information Disclosure Policy, and the steps required to submit a formal request for information on, for example: the terms of the contract; the WFP data sets and derivatives that reside on Palantir Foundry software; partner data (pertaining to data shared with you by Governments, UN Agencies, I/NGOs and Civil Society Organisations) that resides on Palantir Foundry, and; forecasted rollout?
4. What WFP data pertaining to beneficiaries is integrated into Palantir Foundry software? Please also provide WFP´s definition of "beneficiary data and information".
5. What does WFP´s partnership with Palantir mean for WFP´s leadership of UN80 work streams pertaining to supply chain integration? Is Palantir technology part of the integration plan?
6. On the 16th of July during the CFS dialogue "Addressing Gaps in Information and Data Availability Through Multi-Stakeholder Processes in Food Security and Nutrition" WFP´s Jean-Martin Bauer claimed that WFP apply "common sense measures" to ensure protection, in response to a question from CSIPM about the Palantir partnership. See Response timestamp: 2:51:28 - 2:53:35. Please clarify WFP's working definition of common sense? And the specific measures referred to?
7. What message does WFP have for the 600+ signatories calling on WFP to drop Palantir?
