Dear friends,
If the current countries pledges for reducing emissions were implemented, the temperatures would still increase by 3 degree celsius by 2100. This is a future we do not want. That is why we are acting now and are also asking for the creation of a Climate Nobel prize.
To raise further awareness around our current trajectory, we have decided to build a mosaic picture of a temperature-map showing this increase, similar to the one released by NASA.
What is a mosaic picture? A mosaic picture is an image made of thousands of smaller images.
We will build the temperature-map by using pictures of those who, like us, do not want to leave a wrecked planet to our youth, kids and grandkids.
We will then deliver the map to the Board of the Nobel Foundation with our petition.
If you are in for the challenge:
- Support our campaign to create a new Nobel Prize for Climate Actions by sharing the petition: www.tinyurl.com/climatenobel
- Take a selfie and post it on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #NotMyFuture . Please don't forget to tag us @ClimateNobel so we can easily find you :) We will download your picture and use it to build the mosaic temperature-map.*
- Share this post with your friends: https://tinyurl.com/notmyfuture
- Together, let's keep acting for climate everyday and demanding climate policies that get us to zero-emission by 2050 (so temperatures do not increase more than 1,5 degree celsius).
* By using the hashtag #NotMyFuture with your picture or by tagging us to your picture, you grant us the right to use the picture for the sole purpose of building the mosaic picture.
Thank you and let's make 2019 the year of decisive actions against climate change!
