Hi!
We wanted to make sure you saw this MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH in White Coat Waste Project's campaign to end maximum pain testing on puppies at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)--
Last week, U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs David Shulkin stated in an interview, “I am not a strong believer in the need for canine research.” The Secretary--who previously supported the VA's dog experiments-- went on to say he supports drastically restricting the practice.
The Secretary joins the majority of veterans and the growing coalition of national veterans' groups working with WCW to fight the VA's wasteful and abusive dog experiments.
This is great progress, but there's still more work to do to stop these tests once and for all.
If you haven't yet, please click below to tell your Congress members to pass the bipartisan PUPPERS Act to cut funding for VA's most painful dog tests: http://www.whitecoatwaste.org/contact-congress/#/9
Thank you for your support and advocacy!
