Thank you to everyone who has signed this petition and written heart-felt comments. A few days before Christmas I sent, via recorded delivery, a large Christmas card to Nigel Mason, containing 80 printed pages of your comments on this petition and appealing to him to do the right thing: make Raystede's cafe vegan. Three weeks later I have received no response which has forced me to write to him again and tell him that, though I have thus far kept this appeal discreet out of respect for the good work Raystede has done for "pet animals" over many years, if I don't hear from him soon I will be forced to go to the press. Please reach as far as you can to get more people to sign this petition and make Raystede wake up to their obvious hypocrisy and stop selling meat, eggs, fish and dairy in their cafe. On a side note - Raystede has just revamped their website and the front page is now a photo of a lovely lady feeding a lovely donkey, and the words written across it are: "We believe that every animal has the right to health, happiness and freedom from suffering!"
