Thank you to everyone who's signed the petition to persuade Raystede to remove animal products from their animal sanctuary cafe - there are a lot of brilliant comments on there too! I know a lot of causes demand our attention and our signatures, and this one, by comparison, may seem low priority, but it is actually very important. Raystede claims to care about the well-being of ALL animals, and they pride themselves on educating people to treat ALL animals with compassion. But their message is actually counterproductive if they couple it with feeding animal products to their visitors. In effect they are saying "it's ok for compassionate people to contribute to animal suffering because we do it, it's normal, it's reasonable, it's acceptable". And when they send that message they don't challenge their visitors to reconsider their food choices, they enable the suffering to continue. So please share this petition again, and get as many people as you can to add their names, and their comments, so that we can present Raystede staff and trustees with this powerful and irrefutable truth.
