The Issue

We, the people of Los Angeles and beyond, demand that hotels across our region immediately stop housing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and other federal immigration enforcement personnel who are carrying out raids, surveillance, and intimidation in our communities.

For months, immigrant families, workers, students, and community members have lived under constant threat of arrest, detention, and deportation. At the same time, ICE agents have been able to rest comfortably in hotels across our city while conducting operations that tear families apart.

Our communities refuse to accept that reality.

Organizers, workers, and residents have mobilized across Los Angeles to confront this complicity. Across the region, community members have held nightly demonstrations, rallies, and noise protests outside hotels believed to be housing ICE agents as part of a growing movement to deny comfort and shelter to those carrying out immigration enforcement operations.

In Los Angeles, the coalition behind the Hilton Houses Hate campaign has organized weekly protests every Sunday from 12–6pm outside the Hilton LAX, demanding the hotel publicly commit to refusing ICE agents without a judicial warrant.

We have protested week after week in coalition with community groups, immigrant rights organizations, labor organizers, and local residents.

And we will continue.

Hotels Named in Community Reports and Protests

We call on the following hotels and hotel brands to immediately make public commitments that they will no longer house ICE agents or immigration enforcement personnel.

These locations have been reported in community organizing efforts, protests, or ICE sightings.

• AC Hotel Pasadena
• Courtyard Marriott Monrovia
• Hilton Garden Inn Arcadia
• Hilton Glendale
• Westin Pasadena
• DoubleTree by Hilton Whittier
• Hilton Los Angeles Airport (LAX)
• Embassy Suites by Hilton properties in Los Angeles area

Many of these hotels are part of major corporate chains such as Hilton and Marriott, which profit from tourism, conventions, and community support.

That support cannot continue while these hotels provide shelter for federal agents conducting immigration raids.

Our Demands to Hotels
We demand that these hotels take the following actions immediately:

1. Publicly refuse ICE lodging
Issue a clear public statement that ICE agents and immigration enforcement personnel will not be housed at your property.

2. Require a judicial warrant
Commit that no federal immigration agents will be granted entry or cooperation without a valid judicial warrant.

3. Post clear signage
Post visible signage throughout the hotel stating:

“ICE and federal immigration agents must present a judicial warrant to enter this property.”

4. Reject future contracts
Refuse contracts, group bookings, or government lodging arrangements connected to ICE operations.

5. Protect hotel workers
Ensure that hotel staff are not forced to interact with or assist ICE operations and that workers are protected from immigration enforcement harassment.

A Clear Off-Ramp for Hotels
If any hotel on this list issues a public statement committing to these policies, including:

• Denying ICE lodging
• Requiring a judicial warrant for entry
• Posting visible signage throughout the building

then our coalition will:

• Immediately remove that hotel from this campaign list
• Publicly acknowledge the commitment
• End protests at that location

This campaign is not about punishment.

It is about accountability and protection for our communities.

Hotels have the power to end this today.

A Message to Conventions and Event Organizers
We are also calling on conventions, conferences, festivals, and corporate events to reconsider their relationships with hotels that continue to house ICE agents.

Events that claim to value diversity, safety, and community cannot ethically partner with hotels that provide refuge to immigration enforcement operations.

We call on all conventions to:

• Demand written confirmation that their host hotels do not house ICE agents
• Move events away from hotels that refuse to make that commitment
• Stand publicly with immigrant communities

If a hotel refuses to make this commitment, we will ask conventions to relocate their events elsewhere.

Our Commitment
Our community has made its position clear.

If immigrant families cannot sleep peacefully in their homes, then ICE agents should not sleep peacefully in our neighborhoods.

We will continue:

• weekly protests
• community mobilizations
• public campaigns
• boycotts
• direct pressure

until every hotel housing ICE agents makes a public commitment to stop.

This campaign will not slow down.
This campaign will not give up.

Until these hotels stand with our communities, our communities will not support them.

Take Action
Sign this petition and demand that Los Angeles hotels choose community over complicity.

Hospitality should mean safety.. not profiting from deportation.
