Please come: SLT City Council 10/13 on Tahoe Glyphosate Resolution

There’s a South Lake Tahoe City Council meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. that includes discussing a resolution to ban glyphosate on City property. The resolution also asks the Forest Service to reconsider its finding for the Caldor project and asks TRPA to study regulating herbicides. The City can’t stop the Forest Service’s herbicide plans, but this is a good start.
If you’re able to show up to support the resolution, that would be great!
The meeting is at City Hall Council Chambers at the airport (1901 Lisa Maloff Way). The glyphosate item is Item 4 on the agenda. Most City Council meetings have a general public comment period at the beginning, but tomorrow is a special meeting, so public comment may not happen until Item 4 comes up. Arriving at 10 is still a good idea, since it’s hard to predict when Item 4 will start.
Being there in person is best, but you can also join on Zoom ( https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85957107938 ) and use “raise hand” when Item 4 begins.
Hope to see you there!
