Please Come: TRPA Meeting on Herbicide Plan, Wed Aug 26

There's a very important TRPA meeting next Wednesday regarding the plan to spray glyphosate and other synthetic herbicides on thousands of acres of Tahoe Basin forest. This is the meeting we've been waiting months for.

What matters most is that people are in the room. 

You don't have to speak. A room with thirty people sends a different message than a room with three, and that message — that people who live/visit here care about this —  is the most important one. So please tell ALL your Tahoe friends about glyphosate and this meeting!

WHERE:  TRPA Headquarters, 128 Market St, Stateline, NV (just off lower Kingsbury)

If you'd like to speak (which would be GREAT if you're willing):
Sign in when you arrive. Brief is best, and reading from a card is perfectly fine. The time limit is usually 3 minutes, but that may get shortened to 1 minute. Share what's in your heart: why keeping this stuff out of the Basin is important to you.

Five years ago the Caldor Fire entered the Tahoe Basin. Let's not let that be used as an excuse to bring glyphosate in now. The forest is coming back on its own. Whether it gets sprayed is still an open question, and Wednesday is when the people who decide will be listening.
