Using “target capacity” data provided by IPS, we counted how many “inquiry-based” elementary seats will be available in each zone. Zone 4 will have access to HALF as many as the other zones. Zone 1 will have 1,744 seats at inquiry-based schools. Zone 2 will have 1,759 seats at inquiry-based schools (and likely more when school 55 expansion is complete). Zone 3 will have 1,798 seats at inquiry-based schools. Zone 4 will have 999 seats at inquiry-based schools. Is that what equity looks like?
