We have had a steady momentum of supporters adding their names to this petition every day since it launched Friday evening. We also know it's been shared by nearly half of the supporters and viewed by thousands. Your efforts to keep it in front of others may help us get the attention of IPS, the local media, and other community leaders. So thank you, and please keep it up!

It's important that we speak up through the avenues IPS has established as well. If you have not already offered your feedback and/or questions on the plan through the IPS website, please do so. Here's that link: https://myips.org/rebuilding-stronger/#share-feedback

Additionally, if you're currently affiliated with an IPS school, please attend one of your school's meetings about the plan. Let IPS district administrators know you signed this petition and why. Then share what you hear at those meetings—both good and not so good—with others. That kind of open discussion, collaboration, and candor is what launched this effort to amplify our voices. This was never my petition but reflects the work and frustrations of many.

I sense that many people at IPS think they've only heard complaints on a personal level so far—focused on how this plan impacts our individual families or schools. We're harder to ignore when we show them the ways in which their plan fails at efforts to support all students.
