Today some 50 local community members gathered at the Home Depot in Pittsfield, MA to peacefully protest the company’s complicity with the Trump administration's ICE raids occurring at Home Depot stores around the nation. Rather than living their corporate values of “Treating All People with Respect,” “Doing the Right Thing,” and “Taking Care of Our People,” Home Depot corporate leadership is staying silent as federal immigration agents indiscriminately, violently and deceptively detain their customers and employees, regardless of immigration status or criminal history, and in violation of their constitutional rights.

At today’s community action we purchased ICE scrapers and de-icing spray. We presented management with the petition letter that we’ll be sending to Home Depot President and CEO Ted Decker, so far signed by more than 200 of you (thank you!).

We then got kicked out of the store by management. They refused to let us return the items we bought, threatening to call the police if we didn’t leave. So we did. But we made our point, #iceoutofhomedepot.
