Save the Settlers Park Trees in Hanover
Feb 21, 2017
I've been encouraging folks to show up for the City Hall meetings and I will continue to do so. The meeting tonight starts at 6:00. HYB is also attempting to rally the troops, probably because this is the first time they've been on the defensive on this issue. I hope they'll be there to seek a compromise that doesn't require the destruction of the historic oak grove.......

Dear HYB Parents and Supporters,
You may know that we’re very close to finalizing approval with the city of Hanover to build a beautiful new, larger ball field at Settler’s Park that will accommodate baseball up through 16U.
It’s very exciting! The city council is in the final phases of approval but we need your support to take it over the top. There’s a meeting this Tuesday (Feb 21) at 6:00 pm at city hall. Please come to show your support for the field! There’s a group of people who are concerned about cutting down some trees to make room for the field. They’ve been very vocal, especially at city meetings – which is their right. We want to show the council that we have local support as well – that our families see the value in this new field and appreciate Hanover Youth Ball as a community asset.
Please come – you don’t even have to say anything; you’ll make a statement just by being there! Bring your players as well!
