Petition updateTell GTL to Restore Family Video Visits for Incarcerated Individuals❤️ Petition Update: This Is About More Than Video Visits

I want to share a little more about why this fight matters so much — not just for me, but for so many families across the country.

The new restrictions on video visits aren’t just an inconvenience. They take away the parts of life that keep our families connected in real, meaningful ways. When our loved ones can’t see anything around us — not our pets, not our homes, not our kids together in the same frame — it erases the everyday moments that make us feel like a family.

For many of us, especially those with loved ones who are veterans or facing long sentences, these moments are everything. They bring comfort. They bring stability. They bring hope. And they remind our loved ones that they still have a place, a purpose, and a life waiting for them on the outside.

These restrictions don’t make anyone safer. They only make families feel more distant and more disconnected — and that’s the last thing anyone needs during incarceration or reentry.

Thank you to everyone who’s signed and shared so far. Your support means more than I can ever say. If this update speaks to you, please continue to share the petition. Every voice helps us push for humane, common‑sense policies that keep families — including veterans and their loved ones — connected.

❤️ Thank you for standing with us.
