Gosfield North Communications is a co-operative that has been servicing the Town of Cottam for many years.  As a co-operative, Gosfield Tel is member owned organization that is meant to democratically deliver services to its members.  

In 2013 Gosfield Tel was the first to offer internet service via fibre.  Since it's introduction, Gosfield Tel has focused on expanding its fibre services outside of the town of Cottam while excluding the majority of the town of Cottam from access to fibre internet.  

While the internet available to the residents within the town of Cottam may have been considered superior in the past, the internet speeds available to most of the town's residents does not hold up to modern internet usage and it is imperative that plan be put into place to upgrade the service to the membership within the town of Cottam.  

Residents have continually requested firm timelines for the provision of fibre internet in the town proper but the co-operative has consistently refused to provide timelines.  

The residents of the town and the members of the cooperative are requesting that Gosfield Tel provide a comprehensive plan and firm timelines for the provision of fibre internet within the town of Cottam and that Goldfield Tel begin to take immediate steps to upgrade the internet services within the town.
