His petition says in part "Many lives have been lost due to the fraudulent testing and the deceptive false marketing by the smoke alarm manufactures whom flooded the market with these dangerous and often deadly devices over last 50 years, despite the safer more reliable photoelectric and photoelectric / heat alarm being available. Why ? They cost less to make so more profit to manufactures."
