The city council for the City of Worcester, MA. passed a unanimous resolution in support of U.S. House of Representative’s Bill 6672, to award a Congressional Gold Medal posthumously to Marshall ‘Major’ Taylor in recognition of his significance to the nation as an athlete, trailblazer, role model, and equal rights advocate on January 9, 2024.
The bill was filed by Hon. Jonathan L. Jackson (D-IL01) in December 7, 2023. At present, 54 members of Congress have signed on to the bill. MAKE MAJOR PROUD by reaching out to your local congressional representative and ask him or her to sign on to support the bill.
