It has taken 91 years after the passing of Marshall W. "Major" Taylor for a bill to be filed in the U. S. House of Representatives, to award him our country's highest civilian award. 

The House is in recess for the holidays. Please continue to share the petition on your social media and reach out to your local representative and ask him or her to support the Marshall "Major" Taylor Congressional Gold Medal Act that was filed on December 7, 2023. 

Before the last session of Congress ended, 52 members from the House have signed on to support this bi-partisan legislation.
