The Issue

Enough is enough! Fans are being priced out of concerts — and it’s time for Congress to step in.

At Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour and countless other events, ticket prices are skyrocketing, hidden fees are everywhere, and fans are left vulnerable to price gouging and shady resale practices.

In a latest blow, at Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour, ticket prices on the resale market have fallen sharply. But fans who acted in good faith and bought early have no way to adjust — no way to exchange their expensive tickets for cheaper options, even when better seats are available.

Fans need real protections now.

Full price transparency — no more hidden fees.
Limits on outrageous resale markups.
Clear refund and exchange policies for fans.

We demand that Congress immediately pass the BOSS and SWIFT Acts to protect fans, restore fairness, and end the ticketing chaos.

The Boss and Swift Act would require ticketing platforms to show the full cost of tickets upfront, prohibit sellers from changing ticket prices during the purchasing process, and introduce clear disclosures on how tickets are marketed and distributed.

The proposed legislation is named after Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift.

“The Boss and Swift Act basically guarantees that consumers receive fair prices that they see up front, without hidden charges, junk fees, deceptive and misleading practices, that all too often disguise the ultimate cost of the ticket, and that cost is often so exuberant that they are mislead in the purchase,”  U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said, who proposed the bill.

Concerts should bring people together — not rip them off.
