Such an exciting day, as the following companies announced that they are cutting ties with the NRA: Allied Movers Avis Budget Hertz LifeLock (Symantec) Norton (Symantec) MetLife NorthAmerican Van Lines SimpliSafe Teladoc Whew! Such exciting news. We're making a difference. As mentioned previously, I am removing companies that have cut ties with the NRA from this petition, and adding in others from my Google doc (as the limit for decision makers in a petition is 25). Also, to respond to some questions/suggestions about other companies to add. When I made this list originally, it was based on the 5-Star Benefits list on the NRA site. Discovered later that there is another NRA discount site too, that one has FedEx and others. And there seem to be other discounts out there too, for example I just discovered an NRA discount for holiday cards (and yes, it offers a "Peace on Earth" card). I am going to do some work tonight to try to sort out all the info that has been coming at me this week and add to the spreadsheet to make it more complete. People have also mentioned that there are other companies that support the NRA in other ways, such as Amazon and Roku which stream NRA TV, Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops which host NRA events, companies that donate to the NRA or are sponsors of the Friends of the NRA. This is a many headed hydra once one gets into it. For right now, I am going to keep this petition limited to companies that offer discounts or special offers to NRA members, and may in the future do another petition focused on one of the other angles mentioned in this paragraph (or if one of you want to do so, please go ahead, and let me know at @NRABoycott on Twitter and I'll help spread the word.)
