The Planning Commission unanimously recommended denial of the rezoning request to remove Pine Island from the CPO district boundaries.

The Planning Commission also unanimously upheld staff’s denial of the plan for three (3) 6-hole golf courses on the Pine Island property as prohibited by the CPO. Read the full story in the Post & Courier here 

The Planning Commission is a recommending body and the rezoning request will likely go to Beaufort County Council next Monday, June 12 at 3:00pm at the Community Services & Land Use Committee at Council Chambers (100 Ribaut Rd, Beaufort, SC). 

The rezoning request may also be on the agenda for the full County Council meeting Monday, June 12th at 5pm as well. Please stay tuned for more information as the agenda's for these meetings have not yet been set.
