DOJ Plans to sue Adobe over Figma acquisition

Designers generally love Adobe and Figma as two separate companies. When Adobe announced its proposed acquisition of Figma late last year, many of us cringed at the thought. Remember when Adobe bought Macromedia and destroyed its software?

Now, President Biden is on the lookout for monopolies to bust, sending the Department of Justice out to block Adobe's bid for Figma. This spells financial disaster for Figma's founders. However, us designers could be spared Adobe's inevitable Franken-Figma if the deal were to go through.
