It has now been over a month since WNEP's TEGNA switch, and things couldn't have gone better! WNEP is now the only station to go through the TEGNA re brand process that kept its own theme song, as opposed to TEGNA's C Clarity.  Its Move Closer to Your World version has stayed put with little to no changes. They are one of the few stations that is using a sole music package (without updates!!) for their newscasts for over 26 years, with the same melody being on air for over 40. The news opens are actually the same exact length as the old ones, and the theme song wasn't shortened at all! WNEP made out pretty well with the transition. I'd like to thank everyone who signed this petition, and helped us keep this strong NEPA tradition. We hope that WNEP continues to use their iconic theme song well into the future, and beyond (and that the station owners allow it). 

I will post more updates if necessary, but let's hope that isn't the case!
