As a concerned UK citizen, I am acutely aware of the significant income inequality that our nation endures. Implementing this tax system would not only narrow the wealth divide but also foster a more balanced society by redistributing income. This is more than just a financial reshuffle. Crucial infrastructures such as health, education and community services all stand to benefit, directly improving the lives of the lower-income population.

This imbalance is detrimental to social cohesion, health and well-being, and economic stability. Consequently, a progressive tax could drive a significant change for the greater good of the society.
