The extensive recent critique of the Harding Clark report in Dáil Éirann can be read at this link. Survivors of symphysiotomy have been treated appallingly, the Harding Clark report tried to cast doubt on survivors motives in applying to the scheme (which was scandalous given that the State has admitted wrongdoing and not within the schemes remit). The report also tried to minimise the impact symphysiotomy had on women's bodies and health. The UN stated this week this is not redress.
