For decades, SeaWorld has profited from keeping highly intelligent marine animals—especially orcas and dolphins—in captivity for entertainment.

Orcas are social, emotionally complex beings who travel vast distances in the wild. In captivity, they are confined to small tanks, separated from family pods, and deprived of natural behaviours. Numerous experts, former trainers, and scientific studies have raised serious concerns about the physical and psychological harm caused by captivity.

Documentaries, including Blackfish, along with growing public awareness, have exposed the long-term consequences of keeping these animals in artificial environments. Despite this, marine mammals continue to be held for display rather than conservation.

This is no longer acceptable.

As global citizens, we believe that entertainment should never come at the cost of animal suffering. Ethical, educational alternatives exist—ones that respect wildlife without exploiting it.
